This petition was made to demonstrate support for the continued removal of Twitchy, the 14thWV Colonel, from the North and South community and from the Dixieland Army servers. The removal was  NOT put into effect a while ago, it was put in effect on 9/14/17, and was completely justified, as his lies, deceit, and behavior carried among himself and men within events led to a community wide unwelcoming.

The reason of removal was based off of a collection of several months of continual contact with Twitchy and his character. Just as a metal deforms and eventually breaks over time due to a constant force being applied, the players within both the SIA and DA eventually became quite sick of his vile behavior and actions within the community, i.e. pitting regiments and armies against each other, playing the dirty politics game among the leaders of both the SIA and DA, and the continual flopping of allegiance between which event he fancied attending. As to the remarks against slander and the fact that it is free speech; Here is the definition of slander: "the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation." If you want to play the legal game, slander is not protected by the 1st amendment of the U.S. constitution. It is a crime. It is NOT free speech. May I remind you that "talking shit" and "slander" cannot be equated. Furthermore on the topic of the "legality" of the issue; As a private institution that PAYS for both the in-game server and Teamspeak, we reserve the right to deny service to anyone we so desire. If we want to remove a sleazy, lying, manipulative, deranged and cancerous leader from our events, we can. To say we cannot is not only asinine, but also illogical. Remember folks, beggars cannot be choosers. To complain about quality of service from something you are receiving for free, proves my point that you cannot logically argue a legitimate stance worth a damn. Also, to refute the video as well: The original point of the video was to prove to members of the DA high command that Twitchy was not who he claimed to be. The mask that Twitchy put on when talking to members of the DA was a polite, intelligent, and well mannered one. He praised the events that the DA was hosting, and praised the recent changes in policy that had been made to primarily appease the newcomers in the community (AKA 14thWV and SIA). The video highlights the behavior of Twitchy during the events. The constant bashing and slandering of the DA and the events they hosted, the lying about statements made by DA high command, and the spreading of false rumors slowly had a negative impact on his men, who looked up to him to tell the truth. Sadly in his fits of rage and lies, he failed to do so.

Now, to move onto the claim that Twitchy was removed for alleged DDOS. This is both true and untrue. There were suspicions that the 14thWV had been involved with a DDOS attack on the servers hosted by the DA, yes. However, If you were to actually do some digging, and ask the hoster of the DA server in game if they had DDOS protection, he would respond with "yes". The cause of the in game servers misbehaving has been, and always will be a mystery. The DA never officially recognized Twitchy as an alleged DDOSer and subsequently Twitchy was not removed from the DA events due to that reason. Now, on the other hand, the SIA seemed to be motivated by other factors when removing Twitchy from their events. I believe as an official statement at the time, their reasoning for the removal was due to the alleged DDOS attacks. However, when asked recently, the reasoning was not the DDOS attacks. It was to remove Twitchy from their events. As with the DA, they were not willing to put up with his character nor actions within the community any longer. As for the "PayPal Logs": I have to say I have never heard of such things. If Twitchy was accused with hiring DDOSers to attack the DA or SIA's in game servers, then this accusation has not been made by a DA or UB general. I would even say I would disagree with such an accusation. I do not believe it to be true.

NOTE: "The straw that broke the camel's back" and that caused the DA high command to actually take action after the months of abuse from Twitchy and party, was an instance that took place during a DA event. A very skilled cavalry player in the 14thWV named Lee, was the only person left on his team. On the countering team: two infantryman with bayonets fixed. An "ALL CHARGE" was called, and lee directly violated "ALL CHARGE" cavalry rules by avoiding an engagement and effectively "dancing" with the two remaining infantrymen. Due to this performance that lasted almost 2 minutes, Lee was slayed for delay. Lee did not like this, so he proceeded to insult the admin using profane language that is banned under Dixieland Army Server Rule 1: "Absolutely NO RACISM and NO HOMOPHOBIA." This set off a chain reaction of emotions that led to Twitchy prematurely removing his entire regiment from the DA event, forcing the admin to end the event early due to lack of numbers. This was the second time in which Twitchy pulled his regiment out of a DA event for reasons he believed to be biased and unfair, but really only did not favor him. This, on top of many other things piled onto that poor camel's back, is what broke it.

Quickly: to also address those who have been attacking the DA for their low numbers, and citing the reasoning behind this as Twitchy's absence; You obviously have not been in the community for the past couple of months. When we originally removed twitchy from our events, our numbers were SUPER low, as in 40-man events. The events were crazy small. However, we were happy. Happy to not have to deal with drama. Happy just to play the game. Since then, over the past couple of months we have made ground on our numbers. on 12/9/17, the DA's main event attracted 143 players at its highest point. We are happy as it stands with our numbers, and we are happy to play in a community without Twitchy.

Finally, to address the statement that the DA high command has not produced any sort of hard evidence: You are right. It Is hard for us to put within limitations the pure emotion behind our reasoning for a removal. Let this analysis and refutation of accusations made against the DA clear up our reasoning and logic behind his removal. I wish I could give you logs and pinpoint which specific rule exactly it is that he broke, but it's not that easy. However, knowing this fact does not legitimize the argument that If we have no evidence, then we must have had no actual reason to remove him. There is plenty of evidence among the memories and recollections from leaders of the DA and SIA that came in contact with Twitchy.

The thing is that unlike Twitchy, Levy, Scruffy, and Byron we are here to play the game. We don't thrive off dirty politics and pitting the community against each other. We don't record EVERY conversation we have with each other, and we don't screenshot ever single damn thing. Due to this, things that would have been considered evidence have been lost in time. The only thing that remains in the pure hatred and emotion that still lingers within the minds of all who stood in Twitchy's way. It is safe to say that to every leader of the DA that served during the era of Twitchy, it was their worse time ever in the community. A dark shadow fell upon the community when he waltzed in one day. When he left, that shadow receded. May god help us if that shadow returns.

I urge everyone who served in the community during the Twitchy ordeal to sign this petition, no matter what rank you are. Please sign with this format: Regiment Username.
