The administration (Dr. Royal & Mrs. Walsh) within these four walls have continuously failed our children and staff time and time again. We have had enough and are requesting their immediate removal.

While our schools are the heartbeat of our community, it is imperative that the leadership within these four walls are a great fit. School leadership is tasked with creating conditions that encourages great teaching, and conducive to learning. They must be able to lead a team with dignity and respect. While also focusing on instruction, organizational development and enables collaboration, teamwork and mutual support amongst the entire staff.

Our most important body within a school is our teachers and they shouldn't feel like the leadership isn't paying the right kind of attention to the them, the classroom or that no one is actually in their corner. It's been said that the strongest model for schools is one in which school leaders are creative, and innovative instructional leaders. As we look at what builds a great school, we need to look at the leadership. Who is at the helm? What vision have they set for their communities? How have they developed an environment that fosters learning and creativity? Our kids need great teachers. And our teachers need great leaders. One can’t exist without the other.

Teachers shouldn't have to deal with the mistreatment that is purposeful, unfair, and continuous. It is often not talked about publicly because of repercussions taking a stance. Teachers are often questioning their calling to be a teacher, their intelligence, their sanity and it just isn't right.

There have been multiple grievances filed but nothing has changed. The leadership has been talked to by central office administration and nothing has changed. They have been reprimanded due to their actions and still nothing has changed. Racial remarks have been said by Dr. Royal and we won't continue to accept this type of behavior. It's time that we demand change for what's in the best interest of our students and teachers. 

Please join us as we continue to fight to be treated with dignity and respect. So that we can focus on educating our children and ensuring that they have a school that's conducive to learning in an environment that's free of administrative bullying and retribution.
